Bay Area: Watch on TV part 2 of ONME's 2022 CA Juneteenth this Sunday and San Jose's 41st Juneteenth

Part 2 takes an in-depth look into the effects of racism on physical health followed by a review of California's criminal justice system, per the California Reparations Task Force

In part 2 of The ONME Network's 2022 California Juneteenth: An In-Depth Review of Reparations in California with show host Julia Dudley Najieb, the 2.5-hour broadcast begins with excerpts of Juneteenth celebrations in Santa Clara County, Tulare County, and Fresno County.

The 2.5-hour broadcast continues with the review of the California Reparations Task Force's key testimonies. Show host and executive producer, Julia Dudley Najieb, expresses brief, personal commentary as she delves into the two topics of physical health related to racism, and flaws in California's criminal justice system.

Part 2 explores the detriments of physical health affected by racism over a period of time, thus also attributing to low-birth rates of babies among Black mothers, (Dr. Chris Kuzawa, Dr. Joan Kauffman, and Kkem Ndefo.) The ONME Juneteenth broadcast continues with a feature of Fresno County District Attorney Lisa Smittcamp, explaining what a district attorney does followed by suggested solutions. It then goes into the inequities of the criminal justice system nationwide and in California, featuring Alameda County Public Defender Brendon Woods' witness statement along with criminal law professor, Rachel Barkow, formerly incarcerated individual, DeAndre Brooks, and criminal defense attorney, David Menschel.

Toward the end of the broadcast, viewers get to watch a 24-minute video excerpt of 2022 Juneteenth celebrations in San Jose, CA, Tulare County, and Fresno, CA.

Part 2 can be watched in the Bay Area starting this Sunday, July 3 at 1:00 PM on The Outlet Channel 30, Monday, July 4 at 2:30 PM and 8:00 PM on CreaTV Community Channel 15.

The one-hour special featuring San Jose's 41st Juneteenth Festival in the Park will air on Tuesday, July 5th at 8:00 PM on CreaTV, Community Channel 15.
