ONME News will review and have a few one-on-one discussions with superintendent of public instruction candidates





Tonight, the ONME News team, will hosts the California Politics Now Election Forum Discussion featuring superintendent of public instruction candidates, The broadcast will be live from its ONME studio in Downtown Fresno, Calif. as news hosts review or speak with the following 10 candidates:

Richard Barrera (Nonpartisan)

Wendy Castaneda Leal (Nonpartisan)

Nichelle Henderson (Nonpartisan)

Frank Lara (Nonpartisan)

Ainye Long (Nonpartisan)

Gus Mattammal (Nonpartisan)

Al Muratsuchi (Nonpartisan)

Josh Newman (Nonpartisan)

Anthony Rendon (Nonpartisan)

Sonja Shaw (Nonpartisan)

Due to last week's unusually strong storm that affected the remote logins to the network's live online platform, the ONME News team, rescheduled the California Politics Now Election Forums featuring treasurer and controller candidates for May 5.

The forum will discuss candidates, David Serpa (R), Tony Vasquez (D), Anna Caballero (D), Jennifer Hawkins ( R ), Eleni Kounalakis (D), Glenn Turner (G).

News moderators will also discuss the state of California controller candidates: incumbent candidate, Malia Cohen (D), Herb Morgan ( R ) and Meghann Adams (Peace and Freedom Party).  [Candidate re-signup below]

The candidate discussion will be moderated by news producer host, Julia Ann Dudley Najieb, and news publisher host, Brigette Jones.


Post forum footage will broadcast on PEG access TV stations throughout California. (Candidates are urged to register online below to be included in the upcoming forums.)

Upcoming Election Forum Candidate Sing-Up Below

Each online discussion allows candidates to speak to constituents across California for up to 60 minutes for 3-5 candidates per session and 90 minutes for 5-8 candidates per session. ONME News has created forums for the following state elected positions: governor, lieutenant governor, treasurer, insurance commissioners, state controller, superintendent of public instruction, secretary of state, and board of equalization.
