FRESNO,CA--As the economy tanks, there is still hope through collaborations that people will get the necessities they need to get by; however for those who have young children, the struggle is even more overwhelming post-pandemic. Families are still trying to get back on their feet, while gas prices are surging at an all-time high.

Fresno County District 1 Supervisor Brian Pacheco was a major player in ensuring a collaboration with several community organizations to provide for the struggling parents in his area: On behalf of his district, Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission received major donations of diapers, wipes, cleaning supplies, and personal protective equipment (PPE) from SupplyBank.org to help families and childcare programs.

SupplyBank.org, a nonprofit that distributes vital materials where they are needed in innovative ways, and the Central Valley Opportunity Center (CVOC), the leading vocational and community support organization in the Central Valley, delivered 514,500 children’s 3-ply masks,15,300 N95 masks,325,900diapers, 515,800 wipes, 69,100 disinfectant wipes, and 4,600 self-test kits forCOVID-19 to Fresno EOC over the past month.
