Throughout 2025, The ONME Network has not only performed an overhaul on its programming schedule and new web radio station O.N.M.E. Sounds, but it is also informing the public about the California Black Gold Directory for businesses, organizations and groups from throughout California, who can list their information online for free.

Also, the community is invited to be a part of the discussion about Black health in California, Saturday, February 28, from 11:00 Am - 2:00 PM at the ONME studio located on 700 Van Ness, Suite 109 on the first floor.

And finally, network executives want to remind people of one of the most useful, basic tools that has been available for the California community for the last several years: the community calendar. People are encouraged to auto-post their upcoming events.

About the California Black Gold Directory

Originally requested as a Fresno County venture by The Honorable Kimberly Tapscott-Munson, who is the Fresno County Board of Education trustee for area 1 and the current board vice-president, the goal of the project was to suffice the problem of people not knowing where local Black-owned businesses are located in California. Although there are a ton of apps, there are not many free options or media sites for Black businesses, organizations, and groups to post their website, address, social media links and phone numbers. Also, listers do have the option of upgrading their listing to be featured on traditional TV, CTV platforms Roku, Google TV and Amazon Fire TV in the quarterly video spotlight,The ONME Business Review which broadcasts daily in-between programming.

In fact, the ONME Network will be highlighting those businesses who sign-up during the month of February to be exclusively showcased for free throughout the month of June, which is Black Music Month and Juneteenth. For businesses who sign up in February, as a courtesy, they will be showcased in the special Juneteenth ONME Business Review; this opportunity is limited to the first 100 who sign up their business, organization or group by the 28th of February, ($299.00 value) first come first served. With a professional voice over, the video showcases the business based on the information listed in the directory. These 100 listings are turned into videos that rotate throughout the year.

Here are the ongoing three approximate ONME Business Review video publish dates:

  1. June13 (submission deadline May 5 - summer/Juneteenth/Black music month review)

  2. October 15 (submission deadline Aug.5 - holiday edition)

  3. February 20 (submission deadline Jan. 5 - Black History Month review)

Additionally once per year, businesses can pay a nominal fee to be listed in the print-on-demand edition of The ONME California Black Gold Directory Magazine, also available to the public via PDF download for a nominal fee. This magazine provides the latest Black-owned businesses from throughout California as well as a resource guide from statewide and local organizations in general. The magazine will be available for print-on-demand to the public for a fee, as well as volume discounts for organizations, events, and educational institutions. This directory is updated annually each year before the next print-on-demand edition; new print-on-demand editions are available by February 1 of each year, (submission deadline is Dec.1 of each year.)
