Fresno, CA--As the nation remembers one of the leaders of the Civil Rights Movement, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., tomorrow on his birthday, January 15, 1929, the commemorative holiday in honor of his American legacy will be acknowledge next Monday, January 21, 2019.
King Jr. was an American Baptist minister and activist who became the most visible spokesperson and leader in the civil rights movement from 1954 until his death in 1968.
Members of the community can learn more about Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement throughout the upcoming weekend, starting on Friday, Jan. 18.
