Former NBA champion supports exhibition game in Fresno

FRESNO, CA – Former National Basketball League (NBA) star Metta World Peace, and his travel team Gradelo, were in Fresno this past Saturday to take on the Fresno Adult Sports All-Star team.

Open to the public and free admission, the game tipped off at 1:00 p.m. in the Frank H. Ball gymnasium. The Fresno All-Stars are made up of local players participating in the Adult Competitive Basketball league.

Metta World Peace (formerly Ron Artest) was a 1st Round pick of the Chicago Bulls and played 17 years in the NBA. He is a former NBA Defensive Player of the Year, NBA All-Star and won an NBA championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2010. World Peace is currently a Player Development Coach for the South Bay Lakers, the G League affiliate to the Los Angeles Lakers.
